[Photography] 360 Photography

I saw this site called 360Philippines.com and was I so amazed of their shots! They featured photos taken in 360 degrees! How the hell is that possible?! I was so green in envy that I had to know how to do it.  So I researched and here is what I found.

Requirements:
  • DSLR
  • Wide angle lens
  • Tripod
  • Spherical Panoramic Head
  • Photo editing software
  • PTMac/PTGui
Follow these steps:
  1. Take your DSLR with the wide angle lens, Tripod, and the Spherical Panoramic Head to your desired location.
  2. Take 6 shots - straight, left, right, back, up and down.  The photo for the floor has to be taken manually.
  3. Go back to your PC, laptop or whatever and transfer your photos.
  4. Use PTMac/PTGui to process your photos. Except for the floor picture.
  5. Create a cube.
  6. Render an image of the cube.
  7. Using your photo editing software, process the floor picture to blend with the cube picture.
  8. Once the floor picture is ready, save it and place it in PTMac/PTGui as the bottom picture of the cube.
  9. Now create your 360 movie file.
Simple, isn't it?

Happy flickering.
